He is survived by: his wife Margaret Dodson of Strasburg, VA; his siblings, Dan Dodson and Mary Hick; his stepchildren, Nadine Knight (Pete), Timmy Via, Bobby Via, Tony Via (Sam) and Johnny Via (Natayia); his children, Garland Dodson, Jr., Jeff Dodson, Mike Dodson and Julie Dean; and his niece Lucy Ann. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
