He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carter and Ruth Mauck Carter; and his wife Mary Ann Kerns Carter. He is survived by: his children, Donald Wayne Carter, Jr. (Sherry) of Palm Bay, Jonathan Carter of Strasburg, Jeff Carter of Strasburg and Penny Simmons (David) of Wayland, Michigan. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
