It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Denis LoVan Sonner (Strasburg, Virginia), who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Denis' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Denis has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his father Louie van Sonner; and his sister Gayle Bendetta Sonner. He is survived by: his mother Fay Eshelman Sonner; his sister Gwendolyn Abruzere (Richard); his sons, Ryan Sonner (Summer) and Joey Sonner; and his grandsons, Colten and Carson Sonner. He is also survived by 10 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stover Funeral Home (177 N Holliday St, Strasburg, VA 22657). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
