He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Sixma and Alta Sixma; his wife Mary Wolverton Sixma; his brothers, Delbert Sixma, Henry Sixma and Tom Sixma; and his granddaughter Danyelle Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Perry Sixma, Chester Sixma, Alta Sufitchi (Peri) of Strasburg, VA, Donna Shipman (Tim) of Rapid City, SD, Matthew Sixma of Sterling, VA and Fred Sixma of Stephens City, VA; and his grandchildren, Debra, Nichole, Jerimiah and Dereck. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
