She is survived by: her caregivers, Gerontological, Practitioner, Wound, Ostomy, Continence, Sigma Theta Tau, Rho Pi Chapter, Shenandoah University Honor Society of Nursing and Practitioners; her husband William F. Wagner; her children, William J. Wagner (Erin) and Elizabeth M. Villavicencio (Rafael); her grandchildren, Antonio Villavicencio, Karl, Kurt and Joan Wagner; and her siblings, David Sheaffer (Dianne), Robert Sheaffer (Brenda), Coleen Brown and Anita Sheaffer. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to a local animal shelter or a local food bank in memory of Carolyn instead of flowers.
