She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Walter and Florence Strosnider Vance, Sr. of Virginia; her husband George Elmer Middleton; and her siblings, Roy "Bobby" Vance, Lewis Walter Vance, Jr., Eva Elbon and Sue Cornwell.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Middleton (Shelby) and George Middleton (Christine Higgins); her grandchildren, Brittney Smith (Greg) and Caleb Middleton; her great grandchild Eli Smith; and her siblings, Mary Paige, Donald Vance and Alvin "Duke" Vance. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, be in the form of memorial contributions to Relay For Life.
