He is survived by: his wife Alta Ritenour Purvis of Strasburg, VA; his son Jonathan Purvis (Vanessa) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Purvis and Aidan Purvis; his sister Freddie Kay Wilkins; his nephew Will Wilkins; and his niece Shannon Wilkins.
