He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Friedrich Semrau and Eva Hofmann Semrau; his son Bernhard Semrau; his wife Mary Ann Burakouski Semrau; his daughter Nina Luftl (Peter) of Vienna, Austria; and his grandchildren, Bernhard Penco, Caroline Luftl and Clara Luftl. He was also cherished by several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
