He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Edward and Dorothy Poole Spiers; and his siblings, Betty Spiers Fleming, Emmett Frank Spiers and David Spiers.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rideout Spiers; his nieces and nephews, David Spiers, Jr. (Tina), Gary Spiers (Tanya), Carol Webster (Ricky), Keith Fleming (Diane), Lawrence Fleming (Christie), Jimmy Rideout (Becky), Donnie Rideout and Steve Rideout (Laura); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandon, Megan, Morgan, Anna, Lauren, Will, Liz, Becca, Katelyn, Allyson, Wesley and Cooper; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Spiers, Nancy Rideout and Tommy Rideout.
