It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marianne Hammel of Sterling, Virginia, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Larry; her children, Susan Altschuler (Alan), Chris Hammel (Rebecca), Patti Goodnow (Mike) and Laurianne Schaefer; her grandchildren, Zachary (Momina), Erin Altschuler, Christopher, Kayla Hammel, Alexandra, Charlotte Goodnow, Meghan and Donny Schaefer; and her great grandchild Parker Lawrence Hammel.
