He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kelly (Bill) and Helen Fox Kelly; and his brothers, Ed Ferenzi, Emil Ferenzil and Billy Kelly.

He is survived by: his daughter Shannon H. Kelly; his grandsons, Matthew and Brandon Kelly of Sterling, VA.; his former wife Karen Kelly Thomas of Stephens City, VA.; and his niece Joann Cherepanya.
