He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Tippett Jr. and Barbara Jean Tippett (Brown); and his siblings, Gerard Keith "Jerry" Tippett and Mary Joyce "Joy" Gerkens. He is survived by: his sisters, Jody Franklin and Janice Tippett; his wife Cherie Tippett (Sacrey); his children, Joseph Tippett IV (Lana), Steven Tippett (Christina) and Dawn Faust (Greg); and his grandchildren, Joey, Joshua, Andrew, Morgan, Mackenzie, Tyler, Cameron and Lucas.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church (46639 Algonkian Pkwy, Sterling, VA 20165). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Stonewall Memorial Gardens (12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, VA 20109).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Agape Pregnancy Center of Loudoun.
