He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Mae Beach and Samuel H. Heflin; and his siblings, James, Thomas, Clifton Heflin and Elenore Thorne.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie A. Heflin; his brother Samuel H. Heflin; his siblings-in-law, Woodrow Duncan, Jr., Robert R. Duncan, Wilson L. Duncan, Bertha Mae Duncan and Peggy Jean Duncan; and also, James Muth (Becky), Jared and Stephen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and cousins.
