Blake Ratliff Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Blake Ratliff in Sterling, Virginia, born in Grundy, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Blake departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Blake may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Blake leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ratliff; and his stepdaughter Debbie Hoibriten. He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Groves and Teresa Marsten; and his stepchildren, Susan Ralph, Daniel Upham and Robert Upham. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).

Blake's legacy lives on through his contributions to engineering, his service to veterans, and the memories shared by those who knew him.
