She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Hansborough and Cora Rusk Hansborough; and her brother Robert "Bear" Hansborough. She is survived by: her husband Melvin C. Gardner; her children, Michael Gardner (Jill D.) and Sandra Gardner Brill (Melvin); her grandchildren, LeighAnn, Kenny (Jaclyn), Allie (Jared) and Connor; her great grandchildren, Noah, Vivienne and Gloria; and her goddaughter Mary Beth.
In lieu of flowers donations the family kindly requests that donations be made to Childrens' National Hospital in honor of Gloria Gardner, Betty's great-granddaughter.
