Wayne Hamrick Obituary
Wayne Alan Hamrick, 54, of Stephenson, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center. He was born June 24, 1963 in Arlington, VA the son of Harold and Judith McDonald Hamrick. He married Pamela Gladden Barnes on Nov. 15, 2003. He loved racing at the Winchester Speedway. He was a crew chief for Ricky Feltner's championship season.
He also enjoyed singing, fishing, and his 3 cats. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Kevin Hamrick, Victoria Hamrick both of Martinsburg, Daniel Hamrick of Inwood, Angela Long of Charles Town, and Erica Barnes of Stephenson; a sister, Sharlene Hamrick of Gainesville. His brother Duane Hamrick preceded him in death.
A funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Phelps Funeral Chapel 311 Hope Drive Winchester. Burial will follow the service in Shenandoah Memorial Park with Red McKee, Ricky Feltner, Rob Wilson, Wayne "Bubby" Dillman, Tommy Armel, Carl Funk, Bryan Swain, and Jimmy Richards serving as casket bearers. Friends will be received Wednesday 7-9:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
