David Velke Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Velke of Stephenson, Virginia, who passed away on March 12, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John Arthur Velke; his wife Jo Annette Velke; his daughter Dawna Bures; and his brother John "Fritz" Velke. He is survived by: his children, David Velke (Beth), Robert Velke (Julie) and Mary Grace Karch; his grandchildren, Courtney Bures, Amanda Bures, David "Cayman" Velke, Maria Velke, Lillian Velke, Leah Velke, John Karch, Helena Karch and Clare Wheeler; his great grandchildren, CJ Lancaster, Olivia James, Dakota Velke, Henry, Hannah Wheeler, Joshua Wheeler, Benjamin Wheeler and Cecilia Wheeler; his son-in-law Michael Bures; and his close friend Ruth Appleby.
