He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca A. Tabler, Elizabeth J. Hess, Abigail F. Allen, Diane Mello and Samantha C. Hess; and his brother Walter Hess (Pete). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
