She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry F. Gardner and Alma C. Gardner; her daughter Sandra Jenkins; her son-in-law Marshall Jenkins; her grandson Robert Starkey; and her siblings, Pauline Thompson, Calvin, Doug, Ronnie and Jake Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Grim (David), Brenda Clark (Elmer), Cathy Baker (Joe), Richard Whitacre (Christine) and Steven "Tuffy" Whitacre (Nancy); her grandchildren, Timothy Clark, David Grim, Jr., Patti Crenshaw, Stephanie Whitacre, Summer Whitacre, Brian Pingley, Jaime Pingley, Terri Long, David Leight, Jr. and Richard Whitacre, Jr.; and her sisters, Geneva Hawse, Linda Bunner, Nancy Gardner, Joan Lockhart and Virginia Whitacre. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
