He was predeceased by: his parents, Geneva Maphis and Ben Maphis. He is survived by: his wife Pam Maphis; his sons, Brian Maphis (Sarah Kirby) and Robert "Bobby" Maphis (Sarah Goodman); his brother Jerry Maphis (Karen Maphis) of Chester, VA; his nieces, Kathy Maphis and Diana Vaughan (Mark); and his nephew Ben Maphis (Kristine).
A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Amherst Chapel (1600 Amherst St, Winchester, VA 22601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tom to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 – a charity close to Tom's heart as he loved children.
