The memory of Sherry Lynn Burks of Stephens City, Virginia, who passed away on December 2, 2024 at the age of 69, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Prather and Evelyn Prather; her husband Ken Burks; and her sisters, Ann Prather, Donna Affleck and Debbie McCann.
She is survived by: her son Shawn Michael; her daughter-in-law Jessie; her grandchildren, Paisley and Paxton; and her sister Barbie Carlisle.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (1317 S Pleasant Valley Rd, Winchester, VA 22601). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dakota's Dream Animal Rescue.
