He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Samuel Edwards and June Blake Edwards; and his grandparents, Robert, Laura Blake, Ruben and Ethel Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Kathye Place Edwards (White); his children, Ryan Edwards of Stephens City, VA and Lindsey Edwards of Johnson City, TN; his brother Jeff Edwards (Andrea) of Wesley Chapel, FL; his stepdaughters, Mindy White-Kohne (AJ) of Stephens City, VA and Kristin Nicholson (Doug) of Stephens City, VA; his grandsons, Parker Edwards of Stephens City, VA, Oliver Kohne of Stephens City, VA, Logan Kohne of Stephens City, VA and Grayson Nicholson of Stephens City, VA; his parents-in-law, Martha and Denny Place of Winchester, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Ewing of Clearbrook, VA and Drew Place (Tita) of Berkeley Springs, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sentara RMH Hahn Cancer Center, 2008 Health Campus Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 who provided Scott's cancer support therapy, or to the SPCA, 111 Featherbed Lane, Winchester, VA 22601, or a charity of your choice.
