He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert, Sr. Nichols and Eunice Lewis Nichols; his wife Barbara Hess Nichols; his sons, Rob Nichols (Melissa) of Winchester, Walter Nichols of Winchester, David Drummond of Fredericksburg and Joey Drummond of Stephens City; his grandchildren, T. J. and Georgia; and his siblings, Anne McFarland of Middletown and Donald Nichols. He was also cherished by three great-grandchildren.
