She is survived by: her parents, John Willis and Alma Marlowe Willis; her husband Paul B. Yates, Jr.; her children, Angela Yates of Hedgesville, WV, Paula Kennelly Yates of Hedgesville, WV and Timothy Yates of Hedgesville, WV; and her grandchildren, Jocelyn Yates, Jacob Yates, Samantha Jones (Samuel), Robert Kennelly, Ashley Lewis and Amber Yates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ms. Angela Yates at 5211 Grove St. Stephens City, VA 22655.

“I'm sorry for your loss. Peggy was an amazing person with a heart of gold. I will always remember her telling me that prissy is going to bite you if you don't leave her alone. Sometimes when I'm getting ready to do something that involves danger, I can still hear your mom telling me to leave prissy alone and it's a reminder for me to be aware of danger which I hardly ever recognize.”
