It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melton Delane Chasteen of Stephens City, Virginia, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Milton Chasteen and Helen Norma Wheeler Chasteen; and his brother Norman Chasteen. He is survived by: his wife Mary Theresa Swizewski; his daughters, Karen Siler (Greg) of Lake Frederick, VA, Susan Bankard (Charlie) of Stephenson, VA and Jennifer Moody (Ryan) of Stephens City, VA; his grandchildren, Matthew Siler, Lauren Siler, Mary Siler, Timothy Bankard, Rachel Bankard and Andy Moody; and his brother Michael Chasteen.
