She was predeceased by: her parents, William Darl Boyer and Effie Myrtle Shirey Shaffer; and her half-brother James Shaffer. She is survived by: her sons, William Himes (Darlene) of Christiansburg, VA and Donald Himes (Gretchen) of Winchester, VA; her grandchildren, Emily, Shane, Alicia, Shawn Himes and Brooke Edinger; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Bennett Stall and Merryn Himes; her sister Nancy Fox of Brookville, PA.; her husband Granville "Pete" Miller Cave; her grandson Brad Fenstermaker; and her brother Bob Boyer.
