He was predeceased by: his parent James Allen Edwards, Sr.. He is survived by: his parent Anne-Berry Wade; his stepparent Edmund Engle; his child Fairfax; his wife Tara; his son Landon of Stephens City, Virginia; and his siblings, Allen Edwards, Jr. of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Samantha Engle of Northern Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Hunter and mailed to Winchester Frederick Law Enforcement Foundation, P.O. Box 662, Winchester, Virginia 22604-0662.
