He is survived by: his parent Margaret Nauer; his spouse Joan Ricklefs; his daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Simmons (Gary), Peggy Timberlake (Tyler) and Laura Gaither (Kermit); his grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Ryan, Kayla Simmons, Ciara Gaither and Olivia Gaither; his pets, Max Simmons and Coalie Timberlake; and his siblings, Alicia Cruz (Roberto), Anne DeBose (Will), Christopher Nauer (Susan), Franklin Nauer (Diana) and William Nauer (Kathleen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's memory to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, Virginia 22601 or dried/canned foods will be accepted at the family gathering to donate to CCAP.
