He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Newton Wiant and Mary Robinson Wiant; his wife Gloria Jean Martin; and his children, Paul Wiant of Stephens City and Michelle Griffith (Chad) of Lynchburg. He was also cherished by three grandchildren.
