He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Shiflett and Clara Shiflett (Frank); his wife Audrey Herbaugh; and his daughter Cassandra "Cassie" Neff of Stephens City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to McMullen Funeral Home, 5784 Greenmount Road, Harrisonburg to help with burial expenses.
