He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Johnston and Loretta Johnston; his close friend Pauline White; his grandson Tyler Johnston; and his brothers, Harry Lester Johnston, II and John Wallace Johnston.
He is survived by: his son Kenneth Wayne Johnston; his stepsons, Roger White (Robin) and Steven White (Connie); his grandchildren, Hunter and Konner Johnston; and his siblings, Muriel Ann Nickolich (Tom), Marilyn Lee Harwell, Judith Lynn Gilmore (Mike) and James Leslie Johnston (Joan).
