He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Wright and Frances Wright; and his brother Marty Wright. He is survived by: his wife Debra Wright; his children, Julie Atkins (Scott), Wayne Ames (Pam), Nicholas Ames, Patrick Wright (Maxine), Benjamin Wright and Phillip Wright; his grandchildren, Tory Atkins, Brittany Atkins, Ashlie Atkins, Hunter Ames, Victoria Ames and Braden Ames; his great grandchildren, Charles "Bear" McDonald, Mason Atkins, Michael and Willow Garrett; and his sister Judy Wright Mogle. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to any veterans charity or service or a charity of the donor's choice.
