She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen John Ricker, Sr. and Elizabeth H. Ricker; her husband John Daniel Rucker, Sr.; her brother Owen John "Johnny" Ricker, Jr.; and her pet Roxie.

She is survived by: her children, Tekla Monteleon (Chris) of Moorehead, NC, Susan Sherfey of Stephens City, VA, Kelly Mercurio (Mickey) of Martinsburg, WV, John Daniel "Danny" Rucker, Jr. (Jeanne) of Charles Town, WV and Thomas Owen "Tom" Rucker (Jenni) of Boyds, MD; her grandchildren, Ronnie L. Sherfey, Jr., Amy E. Branch (Ryan), Jessica R. Akers (Aaron), Bryan M. Sherfey (Lauren), Holly R. Rucker, Lauren E. Curtis (Victoria), Owen J. Harris and Max O. Rucker; her great grandchildren, Cameron Branch, Mila Branch, Haylynn Moreland, Ayden Sherfey, Autumn Akers, Peyton Sherfey, Evelyn Akers, Miles Sherfey, Cole Sherfey and Alice Akers; and her brother Lawrence "Larry" Ricker (Paula) of Sarasota, FL..

“Well I attempted to write something, but it wasent listed. I m so heart broken with this sad news. I loved Carole and knew her since I was 13. She and John were my son’s Godparents. Have many beautiful memories of all the times we shared together. May God Bless her and her wonderful family always. Marie Henry”
