She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Margaret Lanning (Waldie) and Zernie Lanning; her husband William R. Ervin, Jr.; her sister Alice M. McQuade; and her grandson Russell E. Ervin.
She is survived by: her children, Eric J. Ervin, Kimberly A. Thornhill (Ervin) and Clifton E. Ervin; and her grandchildren, Michael Thornhill, Anthony Thornhill, Shawna Thornhill-Gallagher, Emily Wheeler (Ervin), Samual Peteira, Melissa McKenley, William Ervin, Lauren and Alissa Bartley. She is also survived by her 26 great grandchildren.
