With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Callie (Whitt) Reese (Steeles Tavern, Virginia), born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on July 19, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Oliver Reese of Greenville; her parents, Charles Whitt and Beatrice Whitt; her brothers, Charles Emery Whitt and James "Jim" Whitt; her sister-in-law Dana Whitt; and her grandson Jonathan Reese.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary O. Reese (Tammy) and Donald "Duck" Reese; her sister Pauline "Polly" Guffey (Ed); her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" German (Jonathan), Nikki Reese, Shane Tomlin, Megan Gilmer (Dustin), Brandi Radford and Carla Loughner (Charles); her great grandchildren, Ryan Reese, Zack Reese, Mason German, Noah Reese, James Harper, Hanna Gilmer, Ethan Gilmer, Austin Wright, Octavia Wright, Devon Baker, Samantha Baker and Brianna Reese; her great great grandchild Braylan Reese; her nephews, Steve Guffey (Liz) and Jeff Guffey (Nancy); and her close friend Diane Deacon. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
