He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gray Davenport Sr. and Agnes Davenport (Childress); his stepmother Eunice Davenport; and his brothers, Lionel Davenport, Alvin Hart, Zane Davenport and Maurice Davenport.
He is survived by: his sons, Eric Wayne Davenport of Spartanburg, SC. and Travis Eugene Davenport of Staunton, Virginia; his former wife Theresa Davenport; his siblings, Walter Davenport, Wanda Davenport, Sylvia Davenport and Jeff Henderson; and his wife Tina Davenport. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the Oaklawn Memory Gardens (1921 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
