It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Gail (Skinner) Byrd of Staunton, Virginia, born in Waynesboro, Virginia, who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Skinner and Annie Skinner (Carter); her husband Elwood B. Byrd; and her brother-in-law Paul Langley. She is survived by: her children, Darrell Byrd of Waynesboro and Denise Merica (Jesse) of Bridgeport, WV; her grandchildren, Andrew May, Ashley Byrd, John and Payton Merica; her sister Judy Langley of Lyndhurst, VA; and her pet Scarlett.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.
