The memory of Vera Elaine Fitzgerald of Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on December 20, 2024 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Puffenbarger and Hazel Puffenbarger (Wilfong); her husband Andrew Fitzgerald; and her siblings, Orville, Carl, Norman Puffenbarger and Anita Wright.
She is survived by: her children, James E. Harman (Doris) of Hinton and Cindy Stuart (Jim) of Staunton; her sister Carol Hensley (Kenny) of Grottoes; her grandsons, Tim Stuart (Katelin) and Jimmy Harman (Tabitha); her great grandchildren, Hattie Earl and Lennox Stuart; her sisters-in-law, Patty Puffenbarger and Diane Puffenbarger; and her close friend Nancy Emerson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service (208 S Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mossy Creek Presbyterian Church (372 Kyles Mill Rd, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
