She was predeceased by: her foster parents, Clarence Bert and Minnie Eye Obaugh; her birth parents, Charles and Ethel Montague Pugh Woods; her husband Merlin James "Jack" Hartman Daugherty, Sr.; her children, Carol Jo Daugherty Brooks and Merlin "Jimmy" James Daugherty, Jr.; her grandson Eric Matthew Brown; her siblings, Virginia Lucille Woods Hyden, Erwin Woods and Everett Berkley Woods; and her foster siblings, Walter Rankin, Charles Ray, Henry Warren, Harry Paul Obaugh and Cora Mabel Obaugh McAllister.
She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca "Becki" Ann Daugherty Driver; and her grandchildren, Wenetta "Wendy" Brown Hale (Rick), Christopher "Chris" Brown (Alicia), Peter Driver (Paige) and Cameron Driver. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be contributed to the Benevolence Fund at St. Paul's Church, 2000 Shutterlee Mill Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
