He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Woodrow Shackelford and Ina Kathleen Shackelford (Armentrout); his brother Gregory "Peck" Shackelford; and his grandson Joshua Shackelford. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey S. Shackelford and Christopher M. Shackelford (Rich Walton); and his stepsons, Douglas K. Schacht and Michael "Greg" Schacht (Christina).
