He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline; and his parents, Dr. Rudolph Bell and Sarah Everett Mardre. He is survived by: his children, Katharine Kammer (Will) of Wilmington, Rudolph M. Bell, Jr. (Venah) of Liberty, Sarah Meekhof (John) of Spokane, Washington, Dudley Bell (Julie) of Winston-Salem, Andrew Bell of Wilmington and David Bell (Sanja) of Boise, Idaho.. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
