He is survived by: his brothers, Downing, James and Jack; and his children, Genie Capps (Jim), Robert Kelly Tait of Chattanooga, Andrew L. Tait of Staunton, Teri Conlon (Mark) of Newport News and Laura Tait (Darrell Bradley) of Staunton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to support either Alzheimer's or brain cancer research at UVA Health.
