He was predeceased by: his parents, Quinlyn Felton and Betty Lois Corbin Moomau; and his siblings, Edward Wayne Moomau and Vickie Dawn Moomau Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Bailey Moomau; his children, Steven Dejarnette (Renee), Cody Moomau and Andrea M. Escalante (Iwin); his sister Lynn Moomau Hensley; his grandchild Thiago Escalante; his nieces and nephews, Brittany Fitzgerald Showalter (Christopher), Raven Stallings (Pete), Sarah Beverage and Brandon Hensley; his great-nephews, Hunter Showalter and Espen Beverage; and his mother-in-law Laura Slattery.
