She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Michael and Bunah Adeline Gouge McClanahan; her husband Horace Lair Stewart; her son Eddie Briggs; her siblings, Margaret Elizabeth McClanahan Stewart and Harry McClanahan; her half-siblings, Charles Bullington McCoig, Roy Nelson McCoig and Elizabeth Victoria McCoig Goan; and her former husband Dearl Isaac Briggs.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Lee Briggs Shaver (Tommy); her grandsons, Mark and Michael Shaver; her great grandchildren, Rachel, Dallas, Dillon and Hunter Shaver; her nephews, William Patrick Stewart (Sylvia) and Michael Lair Stewart; her stepgrandson Todd Stewart (Nina); her friend Mildred; and also, Karlie, Layla Stewart, Zachary Stewart (Alexandra), Gunnar Stewart and John "Nick" Corey.
