It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Jane Houser of Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margie Jane Houser to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Erskine Lee Houser of Staunton; her parents, Golden Fitzgerald and Ruth Fitzgerald (Layton); and her siblings, Wallace Fitzgerald, Alton Fitzgerald, Wilbur Fitzgerald, Elvin Fitzgerald, Ernest Fitzgerald, Sibyl Coyner, Bertha McClung and Eva Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Lee Snyder (Jeff Garza) of Staunton, Darryl Erskine Houser (Debbie Earman) of Moneta and Ronald N. Houser of Staunton; her grandchildren, Megan Lindsay Kincheloe (Chris) of Staunton, Abby Jo Houser (Mike Ribeiro) of Williamsburg, Andrea Jane Dameron (Brian) of Rockville, Daniel Erskine Houser (Elizabeth Mawyer) of Staunton and Ashley Marie Houser (Shawn Wallace) of Stuarts Draft; her great grandchildren, Graycie Evans Kincheloe, Corinne Maye Dameron, Olive Penelope Anne Wallace, Taven Erskine Houser and Colt Erskine Kincheloe; and her sisters, Doris "Gin" Sweet, Betty Ruth Thacker and Rebecca "Jodie" Truxell (Carlton).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Third Presbyterian Church (1313 Barterbrook Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
