He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Edgar. He is survived by: his siblings, Vernon Patrick Cooley (Bonnée) of Fairfax and Vera A. Cooley of Seattle, WA; and his nephews, Kevin Patrick Cooley and Michael Edward Riddle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association (PO Box 61420, Staten Island, NY 10306).
