She was predeceased by: her parents, Eudoxio Cantú and Petra Cantú (Ortíz); her husband Domingo Melendez Sr.; her children, Jose Jesús, Mingo, Domingo Jr., Juanita and Mercedes Melendez; and her mother-in-law Susana Melendez (Felix).
She is survived by: her children, Pete (Haydee), Joe (Debbie), Fina (David), Rosa (Joe), Linda (Terry), Dave, Sonia (Jose Luis) and Javier. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
