It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce S. Shifflett (Staunton, Virginia), who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Hitzleberger and Irene Shifflet. She is survived by: her boyfriend Theron Benson (Ben); her children, Diana Kay Leavell Mader (Jay), Janet Marie Leavell Robinett (late Michael) and Michael Allen Leavell; her grandchildren, Marcie Mader, Tasha Snodgrass (Roger), Brandon Robinett (Stacy), Marian Updike (David, Jr.), Nikki Savaiinaea (Diah) and Hannah Perry (Jason); and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Jewel, Erin, Trevor, Meadow, Eben, Jonathan, Derek, Camden, Katia, Isaiah, Dawson and Logan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
