She was predeceased by: her father Gilbert Mitchell; her husband John Clyde Smith; and her children, Robert Lee "Sonny" Smith and Jean Higgins. She is survived by: her mother Lillie Kate Mitchell (Armstrong); her daughter Dawn Armstrong of Headwaters; her grandchildren, Kenton Smith, Katie Townsend (Chad), Hunter Higgins and Shannon Higgins; and her great grandchildren, Carson, Kenslee, Skyler, Ayden, Audrey, Johnathan and Haigin.
