He is survived by: his children, Joseph "Joe" W. Lotts, Jr. (Rachel) and Wendy Sue Lotts Nichols; his grandchildren, Jacob Eli Nichols, Lila Rose Elizabeth Nichols and Joseph "William" Lotts, III; and the mother of his children Faye Bunch (John).
